The Players
Founded in 1888 by noted 19th-century Shakespearean actor, Edwin Booth, together with Mark Twain, General William Tecumseh Sherman and 13 other illustrious men-of-the-day, The Players remains the oldest club in New York City that is still in its original location. Designed by famed and flamboyant architect Stanford White, the Gothic Revival-style mansion facing Gramercy Park was named a National Landmark in 1962.
Fahey has been integral to the Club’s revitalization and preservation, by providing painting and carpentry services, masonry refurbishment and other interior renovation work on an on-going basis.
