Elevated Design

For this family of four, Fahey was challenged to create a staircase for their Tribeca apartment that was both utilitarian and artful. The solution proved to be as sculptural as it is practical.

Fahey custom-designed and fabricated a sleek, steel staircase that appears to be floating in the center of the apartment. The intricate workings and details of this functional focal point are punctuated by oak handrails and treads, to soften your step. This clever use of wood adds warmth to the white monochromatic interior, while setting an overall tone of lightness.
